Make Mine Monona!
Help your favorite library flourish simply by checking-out ALL your Library materials at the Monona Public Library (even items borrowed from other libraries). We are launching a new campaign, "Make Mine Monona," inviting all Monona Library patrons who enjoy our programs and services to check-out items only at the Monona Library.
WHY?
- Because every time you check out an item at our Library, we earn operating money from Dane County.
- County dollars for libraries are based on where an item is checked out. This equals 32% of our budget.
- More operating money from the County means that we can buy more new items for YOUR library!
If Monona doesn't have a title that you want, place it on hold to be picked up at the Monona Library. Using holds is a great way to take advantage of the large number of books, DVDs, CD, and other materials available in the South Central Library System.
LINKcat gives you access to nearly 3 million items representing over 790,000 different titles! We’re happy to report that July’s number of checked-out items were the highest monthly total since the expanded Library building opened in 2002!
When placing holds, say "MAKE MINE MONONA" ... and indicate the Monona Public Library as your pick-up point.
Remember to..."MAKE MINE MONONA" and help YOUR favorite library better serve you and your community.
