Read to a Dog
Independent readers may register to read to a specially trained Reading Education Assistance Dog. Children can sign up to read for one 20 minute time slot to one of many dogs. These dogs all love to listen to young readers! Sign up your child in advance either in person or by calling 222-6127. A Reader Registration Form is requested prior to reading; download it here or pick up a copy at the circulation desk.

Monona Pie Party fundraiser raised $5500 toward Early Literacy for the Children's department. We would like to thanks everyone - the Pie Party commitee, volunteers, bakers, and those of you who came to the event and bought pies. Tutor.com is available for all ages child to adult. It includes homework and resume help, writing assistance and test preparation. Log on through www.mononalibrary.org with your library card if you are a Monona resident. If you are not a resident, visit the Monona Library to use Tutor.com. Tutor.com is tutoring the way it was meant to be. Get one-on-one expert individualized assistance everyday (check the library website for hours). The new Learning Suite allows you to target problem areas, the online tutors make sure you not only get the problem done right, but you understand the concepts. Many services are available in Spanish.
